Theatre & Stage Photography

Recently Shaun paid a visit to Hong Kong to buy more and better camera gear to specialise also in Theatre Photography. Theatre and Stage Productions is another passion of Johannesburg Photographer Shaun Smith, as he is also a part-time musician. Here are just some of the photos he took over the years in various productions. He is now fully equipped to take superb photographs of dance and ballets, one-man shows, theatre productions, musicals, stage performances, live music shows and much more. With his new equipment, he can photograph in low light and catch each movement of a person. Combined with his talent, this makes him a very good theatre photographer. Shaun has photographed shows at the Guild Theatre in East London, the Pieter Toerien Theatre at Monte Casino in Fourways, the Nelson Mandela Theatre at Johannesburg Civic theatre (now known as The Joburg Theatre) and UJ Theatre in Johannesburg as well as other school productions in the Eastern Cape and Gauteng.
